As an adult I do not typically indulge in such placebos. When I was a child, however, my mother would prepare an Earth dish known as macaroni and cheese for me when I did not feel optimal.

Food for the soul, Mr. Spock. Even if popsicles don't fight viruses, they can't really be termed placebos if they have a positive emotional effect.

I've had cranberry juice and vodka before...I think the bartender called it a Russian Turkey. Odd name. Never had it hot, though - I must try that sometime.

Nae a thin' in this world like a hot cup' a tea an' a warm blanket. Lemon is good, but tha' best is a strong, dark green tea.

Unless I'm too sick to pay attention to cooking and I let it stick to the bottom of the pot and smoke up the entire apartment. Then it's takeout pizza.
