The "overly enthusiastic types" in the front were mentioned. Were they very young? Did Dan seem uncomfortable with them?

Not really, no. Most were probably late teens/early twenties, and another chunk was more middle-aged. Dan seemed to genuinely enjoy it when he would ponder things out loud & they would provide the answers for him. One gave him a DVD (I think) of something to do with Wizard Rock, and another gave him a flyer for some kind of club/venue he had heard about that he thought sounded cool. At the very end, as soon as he stood up, they all rushed to the bottom of the stage & stuck things out for him to autograph, which he automatically did. That was the only time they got a little bit worked up. LOL.

Dan was wonderful, as usual. No underwear was tossed during the whole thing? My, you all were a polite bunch, ha ha.

Ha, no underwear! I had a moment of panic when I realised they were doing unscreened Q&A, but it all worked out.
