Wait, WHAT?!

I'm just...bewildered.

Whatever that was, that was not the book.

Too tired to go into specifics, but I should warn you: if you love this book with your whole heart and soul...there's a good chance you'll be disappointed.

ootp, harry potter

You're... kidding?

I love this book with all my heart and soul, and apart from the Quidditch and Hermione kissing Ron, every single thing I love about it was there.

I was trying to think what could have bothered you, having read the book as H/Hr, but the film was so wonderfully Trio!

oh no, it wasn't about anything shippy (i didn't actually read any of the books 'as' H/Hr...that was just the way i hoped it'd be), more about larger plot stuff - things being moved around or cut out or changed such that they made no sense

i did, however, almost have a heart attack from squeeing during the voldie posession bit, when harry sees all the trio stuff and that's how he overcomes it...that almost single-handedly redeemed the entire thing

Word.

There was some really good stuff in there, but it just didn't hold together the way the book does.
