[Cas was finding that he was having a very hard time coping with the solace that was his new founded humanity. It was one thing to watch them from a distance, to find them beautiful as he always had but being one of them wasn't something that he was cut out for and he was learning this the hard way. He was finding less and less reasons to ( Read more... )

[ She'd been trying to find him for awhile, to no avail. She wasn't sure who'd brought her back, or how they'd managed to cleanse her of the brainwashing that Heaven had inflicted on her when Castiel turned her in. But she felt the urge to find him, to let him know that she forgave him, and to tell him that she was alive. Even after everything, the gentle girl inside of her still had so much hope for him. But there was something wrong. She couldn't find him, couldn't hear the whispers that usually had to do with him. In her heart, there was an ache, and her stomach knotted more frequently than any angel's ever should. She worried that he was dead. But, after weeks of searching and remaining hidden from all of Heaven, she finally found where he was staying. It was late night when she managed to pinpoint his energy patterns and the exact room, arriving in the softest sound of fluttering wings. She stuck to the shadows in the room, the darker places, unspeaking for the time being. Observing. He looked so run down and beaten... It pained ( ... )

[Every time Cas slept he fought Lucifer or Raphael all over again. Every now and then, memories of being cherubic but largely it was the fighting. The sense of displacement every time he lost just nothingness and darkness his more corporeal form lost to the dogs. His fingers twitched in protest to what he was seeing over the arms of his chair. He hadn't made it to go bathe, to rest his tired wounded feet and make sure the cut at his temple wouldn't be a detriment. By the time he'd made it back after his three mile walk he was too tired to do anything but sleep.]

[ She stood in the room, just watching him sleep. It was more fitful than his sleep should ever be, but she understood why. Nightmares. She'd had some as a child, and again once Dean had been raised from Hell. She couldn't be sure of what he was dreaming, but she knew it couldn't have been pleasant. Quietly, she walked up to him, trying her best not to wake him. He was injured; it hadn't just been a trick of light making him look worn and tired. With as much tenderness as she'd ever used toward any creature, she lay a gentle hand upon his hair. Her thumb touched to his forehead and she placed all of her energy into a few seconds of healing him. She hoped her touch might also help soothe his mind to some degree, but the moment his injuries were gone, she stepped back into the shadows again, just in case she woke him. ]

[Cas started awake after being healed but no longer in tune with his senses only contributed the comfort to how absolutely exhausted he was. He didn't feel her in the room, the only thing he felt was discomfort in his back because he'd been sleeping in the chair. All too clinically he got up, pushed the chair back into place and moved toward the made bed in the room. His movements were trained in removing the trench coat, the jacket, and his slacks. Only ever sleeping in just his shirt and the underwear Jimmy chose to wear. The clothes dirtier than they'd ever been because he couldn't will them clean. For a moment he looks like he's going to cry just because of the struggle that disrobing had been but he winds up falling into the bed instead, pulling the other pillow near him for something to hang on to while he rested.... the comfort of feeling like he wasn't alone and separated from everyone. He even missed the voice of his siblings and their constant arguments. So he stole the feelings where he could.]
