Well, it's a time for people to get together and give each other presents...but the other thing is more important. It's about being with the people you care about. :O
Who could lack for cheer with such a cheerful person among us? Not I, says I!
I have been in lands that celebrated winter holidays before, but none of them were quite this one. I like it very much, I think, though Thanksgiving is still perhaps my favorite. But being here--aye, I do believe the chance to be here is a gift, and I don't mind taking a day to keep that in my thoughts.
My world never had Thanksgiving, but I really liked that holiday too! There's just so much to be thankful for! But I like Christmas a lot too! I really like lots of holidays, Tegar'in-san!
Oh indeed! You are the most cheerful person I have ever met, you see, and I have met quite a lot of people in my day.
It is difficult to dislike them, isn't it? It's not so much the day itself, but the excuse to get everyone in a pleasant mood and enjoy one another's company--not that it shouldn't be like that every day, of course, but having times to encourage it is nice.
