I don't know who is responsible for exchanging my guns with plastic toys that shoot flags that say bang but when I find out who you are, I assure you that I am going to make it emphatically clear to you why that was a bad idea.

*cara, *zero, testing chuui's patience, *ambassador, *stoneface, *dash, i do not play with toys, this place is a madhouse, who touched my guns?, *bell

That's even worse than water guns. A monster might pause if they get squirted, but they can't read.

It is absolutely ridiculous. Is your weapons stock effected at all?

Most everything's turned into a lollipop. I hope it goes back to normal soon.

Dude, boss, it's not just you. My beam saber's just a really loud flashlight now. Bummer.

That's not even amusing, this could lead to potentially dangerous complications. Do you have any functioning weaponry?

I dunno, dude Captain dude. I could, like, punch things.

[He stares at his paper. Did he blow a fuse on his language circuits?]

Sorry, Captain dude. Something's all, like, messed up with my writing.

I should say that it is. Do you have any suspicions as to the cause?

Emphatically clear by "banging" them?
^at [At is added later, to clarify. And because this has to be kid friendly. So, in other words, he just means to imply you'll make it clear by shooting "bang" at them; so effective.]

I am glad that someone finds this situation amusing.

Oh yes. Clearly they are just after you, hm? Even though others are missing things, or have waterguns?

Could you inform me where it was that I expressed a belief that I was the only one afflicted by this strange course of events?

Expressed a belief? No, no. Showed an attitude that made it sound like you were singled out? In your writing.

You do not know me well enough to make assumptions like that.

Unfortunately, you're not the only one, Captain. If I were you, I'd do a log of all your men and see how many of 'em have their weaponry broken. Think of it as an excuse for them to brush up on what they'll do if they're ever disarmed in battle.

Thank you for your concern, sir.

Some of our personnel appear to have escaped unaffected, and we make it a point to assess hand to hand ability when any new recruits apply. Our men are at a disadvantage but are still prepared to face any difficulties regardless. I hope that the Watch is not suffering too heavily from this unfortunate experience.

My men are doing all right. More than I'd like are affected, but most of them know hand-to-hand pretty well by now, and besides, this is a good excuse to teach the art of creative weaponry. And on the bright side, the Wilderness seems more or less harmless at the moment.
