Based on my dear readers' insightful comments in response to my last post as well as on some of my own freethinking ideas, I would like to present to you an updated proposal for how the law of the land in the State of California shall henceforth be amended to define the institution of marriage:

The thing is this is not so much about marriage as getting the whole wide world to say that being gay is fine, you're just like everybody else. Their slogan "Being gay is ok" expresses the sentiment precisely.

Sorry to be so unromantic, but marriage is as a much a contract, taking on of responsibilities, as it is about love.
