His name is Meta Knight. Just some giant round thing. I've seen a lot of weird things and all kinds of monsters and animals in my life, but he's a first.

Is he particularly dangerous?

Hell if I know. He wants a freakin' battleship. If you want to see if he's dangerous, talk to him yourself.

[Croix's starting to think that Cid's the impatient type. He could be wrong though.]

I used to help a friend of mine maintain his. Thought I could help someone else out here with my skills.

Skills, huh? Well if he says all right, then guess you can join the team. I don't have any projects of my own goin' on right now so Meta Knight's your only shot.

I can take care of the dirty lifting and cleaning. Done it plenty of times back home.

I'm still impressed you managed to get an air ship working in this environment.

How long did you work on it for?

Took a year, and that was before this place changed and gave me actual people to help with it. Had to figure out how to use this world's technology to make something fly. Place doesn't even have a helicopter, can you believe it? You'd think a modern city like this would have at least something.

You're trying to tell me that this city wasn't always populated?

I agree. With these phones you'd expect a fair amount technology within Somni but as luck would have it there's nothing.

Nope. Was pretty dead before they showed up.

Sorry if I'm troubling you with my questions but would you know more about Somarium's history? You seem to know it quite well.

History, huh? [snorts.] Not much more than anyone else, but seems like there used to be some war between this place and some crazy ass chick with "nightmare powers" or some *&$# like that. That was before we came here.

As for after we got here, you should ask someone who's been around longer than me. All I know is, this place used to have zero population, then ghost people showed up, and then we got the "real" people you see today.

Could there be a curse in the area? I've been to a few ghost villages before but nothing like this.
