I talk about Battlestar Galactica with my band teachers.

That seriously made yesterday twenty times better.
I don't know what I'd do without band.

Could you give me a 30 second rundown on SGA and rec some fic? There is not sufficient youtube vid. Also, SGA on DVD is 50% off on amazon.com. If I had money that would be really exciting.

Seriously, I don't think I remember everything that happened last year. It went by too fast, especially towards the end. It was a good year, though.

Well, on SGA? It depends if you know anything about what happened SG-1 :P but, basically, they discovered Atlantis, lost city of the Ancients (really smart and powerful old race that seeded life in the Milky Way and whatnot xD then they ascended to "a higher plane of existence," etc.) annnd... Atlantis is in another galaxy, and because Earth didn't have a large enough power source, the trip was one-way.

Uuh. So, they went through the 'gate into the city, and then discovered the Wraith, who suck the life out of you with their hands (haha, lame), and... stuff? I don't really know how to explain the show. Hm.

But! I do have fic. The Taste of Apples, by auburn. Absolutely brilliant, angsty, and will make you fall in love with the characters, I assure you :D one of the first fics I ever read in fandom, and remains one of my favorites.

Thanks! I'm slowly trying to get ahead of the curve, but my brain was promply stolen by John Barrowman and Torchwood, so I'm trying to navigate two new fandoms at the same time. Thing is, I'm going back to school on Friday and I don't have tv there, which sucks.

No, not necessarily. I watched Atlantis before I did SG-1; the series stands perfectly alone as well, so no worries. I was just wondering if you knew any of the concepts already or not, haha.

I'm glad you're getting into Torchwood as well, though :D
