Investigative Journalist breaks story: US gave Israel green light to bomb Lebanon as a prelude to invade Iran.

My country's anti-Arabism shouldn't shock me anymore, but it still does every time a story like this comes out.http://www.guardian.co.uk/israel/Story/0

I'm not...surprised. I'm appalled. Though when thinking about it it makes sense...though what's sad is that many people will shake it off like it's A. the ends justifying the means and B. hearsay. Iran is a major problem, but we simply can't support a war there...and hundreds of civilians in Lebanon are paying the price. When does this finally become enough for people?

My pragmatic answer is as follows.

Hopefully at the end of October and beginning of November: just in time for the elections....

I really hope so. The fact that we're stuck with Bush for another 2 years and knowing the damage he's currenly doing and will continue to do as long as he's in office...ugh. If enough people realized this is just...wrong on every level...then maybe, just maybe, it could stop. But after 2004 my faith in people not voting with their ignorance/hate/fear has really plummeted. Not to mention the fact that most Americans seem to have this bizarre urge to stay as uninformed as posssible about how much world events really do affect us...and how what we do politically ultimately affects everything else.

Not that the Mid East was every in good shape...but man...this is going to get SO much worse.

Seymour Hersch has done some incredible investigative reporting, and this completely jibes with this administrations questionable methods for doing business/politics. War criminals all, and shameless profiteers to boot.
