My favorite historical figure is King Christina (a.k.a. Queen Christina, if you want to be all traditional and boring).
She's pretty much the most BAMF:y HBIC to ever have lived, 'kay? And I'm not exaggerating.
I recommend reading this:
wikipedia entry on Christina of Sweden. It's an amazing story.
Like, completely amazing.Like, her father died

It is a cool story though, they should totally make a movie of it! The British queens get them, and some of the French too! *Nods* Hollywood, MAKE PLEASE.

I think they've done a movie, many, many years ago, but they changed a lot of stuff in it?
They should totally do a movie that tells the real story!
Holy crap, your icon are of wire hangers! :O
I didn't even realize what I've been looking at until just now. :P

And oh yay! She was born on the same day I was born on - enligt vissa källor - just years before that. ;) It seems like all the cool Queens were born on my birthday. :P

Random - I hate looking at any photos before 1900. The men and women came out looking creepy and scary.

Lol, she reminds me of that one queen in Doctor Who: "I'm the queen, mate. Basically - I RULE!" xD

Her father was also somewhat of a BAMF (apparently, it's genetic! ;)).
When he was 17 years old his father died. Sweden had been pissing off our neighbors for a while there, so when that kid became king the surrounding countries were like "lol, let's all attack at once! Three-front war! :D" and ... then that 17 year old kid cheerfully responded by kicking everyone's asses and expanding the borders until Sweden went from a tiny country to a world power.
"Oooh, three front war! What fun. Oh, it's over now? Alright. Uhm. What to do now... Oh, I know, I'll just go invade the Holy Roman Empire! :D ..."
