What's going on in Iran right now seems to have touches of what's been going on for a long while in Myanmar. I would hope Ahmadinejad wouldn't be stupid enough to attempt to do the drastic things that are being done in that country on a daily basis. He would set Iran back decades technologically and economically. Moreover, his actions would have a lot greater ramifications on a global level than anything that could go on in a forgotten country, like Myanmar. This is the kind of insanity that could start another world war if things got too out of hand. The last thing we need is an excuse for the Russians or the Chinese to stick their hand in the cookie jar.
