Very sweet and sad, and knowing their eventual outcome, truly heartbreaking. I love how you've written Snape here, all full of teen angst and uncertainty; his inevitable pull to the Dark Arts battling with his inevitable pull to Lily. Their kiss is awkward but perfect at the same time. I could really feel his pain and longing. Well done.

This is a very interesting look at Petunia and Severus' war for Lily's attention :) Also Severus' struggle between Dark Arts and Lily. His argument about being admired for his talents rings true for me, this is a very strong pull.

Late in replying but... I just wanted you to know that I love this fic. :) Thank you so much! As Orph said, this is a very interesting look at the power-play between Severus and Petunia. I particularly liked the kiss -- so appropriately awkward and fumbling but so very very sincere. And I like the way it ends: with a sort of silent understanding and agreement on Severus's part... but no assurance as to what's coming next. It's nice and self-contained with a somewhat open end, if that makes sense. In any case, what I'm trying to say is: Well done! This is awesome and I really appreciate my gift, Mystery Author!
