Hello folks!

I haven't done a lot this week…mostly just hung out with the summer staff who are in training right now. One of them had the gall to ask me the other day why camp doesn't just get another router to make the internet better and it was all I could do to not tell her that it was her (and her 100 coworkers) fault and they were stealing my internet and how dare they. I did not say that, but I thought it. Youths.

I am going to a 1 year old's birthday party tomorrow - I got her "Dragons love Tacos" as a bday gift and it may be my new favorite children's book. This 1 year old loves the maple baby and always tries to grab his face.

Also I am hoping to buy a grill. And I need to get together with ballroom_pink while she is in the area! We are trying to work something out ( ... )

You should!! Can you also include age appropriate/reading level appropriate suggestions?? Because after they are babies, I find it hard to get a book that is just right for a kid, I'm likely to either get something that is too difficult or too easy for their capabilities

Dream house: first feature is a library, with window seats and a really comfy couch for reading/napping. Another room that's basically a giant walk-in closet. A kitchen with appliances that look vintage but are actually really modern. The backyard would have a small vegetable and fruit garden (cared for by the gardener I'd hired with my unlimited money) and also a hedge-lined walking path, and lots of places to sit/nap.

Also, a dumbwaiter so food could be sent up to me, and a loft for my office that I could get to by stairs and could come down by firepole.

YES!! I totally forgot about gardens, that sounds awesome! I'm stealing your idea for a hedge-lined walking path for my house too.

Dumbwaiters are the best!! Ugh, I approve of everything in your house. I will come visit you there.

A bay window overlooking the yard with a solid window seat and a little shelf for my teapot. Also a yarn room and a lot of funky minimalist design.

Of course you have a little teapot shelf!! Do you not also want a pantry full of tea?

Love the yarn room too of course!

Oh, the tea pantry is in the kitchen with the boiling water spigot and the dishwasher. The window shelf is so I can fill up a whole teapot and chill with it for a while without having to go back and forth for more tea! My current pot holds like 20 fl oz ;)

Ah of course! And the boiling water spigot allows you to make tea in just moments, right?

Now, would Boyfriend have any specially designed rooms in this house?

He'd get a mud room for his bikes and camping/hiking gear, for sure. I think we'd need multiple libraries eventually, too-grad school comes with SO MANY books.
