Normally I would agree, but I also think there has been a steady build up of her feelings for Jeff and antagonistic relationship with Slater and I don't know, but I see Jeff's rejection as something that is going to have an effect on Britta. I don't imagine her crying for long in front of Slater and probably trying the best she can to hide it and shut herself up, but I also think that they've now made themselves into unlikely allies of sorts.
maybe I could see a couple of tears rolling down her cheeks... but I pictured as if she had been crying for a long while when I read your fic... maybe I can't read? It was pretty late last night...
ANYWAY, I loved the whole feeling of this thing <3 The dialogues seemed pretty accurate to me :D "I don't think he's comming back" XD
It's not a lot of Troy/Britta, but just a little! To be honest I'm more disappointed at the lack of Troy/Britta in the finale then anything else. Also they really held the Abed/Everyone back this episode too. :(
Also, more than any other pairing on the show I really want to see a Britta/Troy kiss or relationship or something. I sort of not-so-secretly love them more than Jeff/Anyone.
Yay for not failing! And woo at getting Slater pretty well, because I was expecting to fail there. I also definitely should never write Abed, because I have no idea how to handle his excessive meta so I confine him to small roles where he barely speaks D:
I have many thoughts on the episode and most of them are actually positive! I hated the competitive cat fight thing, but it's been building since episode 6 soooo... I can't really say I'm surprised.
I liked it. Mainly because I totally want Britta and Slater to hook up. I have a theory that all this "hatred" is just sexual tension and I'm convinced that Britta is bisexual. XD
Lol! I'm don't really want to see Britta/Slater, but I do REALLY REALLY want them to become friends and then Jeff sees them being friends and is like: "AAAAAUGH THIS IS TERRIFYING!" and then Britta's tells him to stop being stupid and also calls Slater "Michelle" because they are friends now and Jeff's brain explodes.
I see Britta being more... bi-curious than bisexual. I can't see her in a serious relationship with a woman (then again I don't see her being in a serious relationship with ANYONE anytime soon - Britta's still got a lot of issues to work out), but it's obvious that she finds some women attractive and I could see her being open to experimenting with women at least for a little while.
I'm incredibly interested in how they're going to pick up the Jeff/Annie plot next season. For some reason I don't really see either of them starting a relationship over the summer and they basically spend three months stewing in their own uncertainty. But, maybe not?
Everyone keeps writing things that help me resolve my ~feelings~ about the finale, and this is pretty close to what I'd imagined for Britta and Slater post-that, so thank you, thank you, thank you for this.
That's pretty much why I wrote this. To be honest, I did like the finale and Britta vs. Slater has been a long time coming in a way so I understood it, but LADIES IT IS TIME TO LET THINGS GO NOW.
If they don't end up as friends in Season 2 I'm going to be a little upset. I mean, I guess it would be all right if they end up not liking but respecting one another, but I refuse to watch them continue this petty fighting over one guy. So for the next three months I am going to FIRMLY BELIEVE that this story is the TRUE CANON end to Britta and Slater's night. I have faith in Harmon to make things right between them too.
Also, I think it'd be hilarious to see Jeff react to the two of them as friends. FUFUFUFUFUFU.
Ahhh I love this! Whilst I can see why people would say Britta would never cry in front of Slater, I think at this point she has no choice but to cry :( she really did get the short straw :( but you wrote her emotions so well :) and I LOVE that this has a Britta/Troy ending!!! I personally think the only reason he is mean to her is because he likes her (the old story that boys pull the hair of girls they like... or something) or that he sees Jeff and her arguing and figures that's what she goes for... one or the other! I totally want to see something happen between them :) anyway, what I meant to say was how you wrote his reaction was pretty much spot on. And this gave me such hope for a finale that I basically hated ;) great job!
We've seen Britta cry/get really upset and choked up in canon so I don't think it's that much of a stretch for her to cry. And I think the fact that she's been holding in all of these ~feelings~ and then releasing them in a way she never intended and then having those feelings rejected is... I mean that SUCKS. Who wouldn't have a little bit of a melt down after that night?
Britta/Tory is not-so-secretly my favorite. Also, I don't think he's that mean to her so much as he doesn't always understand her, but I think he wants to understand her and I mean he obviously thinks she's hot. I really want to see the show take them down that route at some point or at least give us a kiss or something (I want to see many more kisses! And I want them to involve people other than Jeff!). Fingers crossed

Plus, Jeff's reaction to that would be hilarious.
