While the Sex Pistols were recording their album, Queen were in the next studio over working on what was believed to be A Day At The Races. Johnny Rotten kept bragging to everyone that he was going to go say hello to Freddie. So he did, he literally crawled into the room where Freddie was working on a piano. And peeked his head up and went, "Hello Freddie!" and crawled right back out.

It's a better story when their engineer tells the story.
