Tamra, the Island

I love this show even with William the Dutch/English castaway's awful hair like I love puppies and bunnies. The heroine is cute, other guy is jealous but not psychotic and even saves William when he is captured by villagers and no one except for the evil people I am allowed to hate is really bad.

I am very tempted. I wanted to watch this quite badly but got disinterested as I don't like the lead girl in "Cinderella's sister" (she has a very odd face and displays that "cute" school of kdrama acting that I don't like)

I think her style of cutesy acting is much more restrained here and also fits the character very well. In CS I think I would probably throttle her, but here it works well. Plus although she is sometimes incompetent it's more a case of people repeatedly trying to get her to be good at things she is clearly not skilled at (diving) rather than being incompetent in general - one of the things she is glad at in finding William is that here is someone who sees her as v. competent and a saviour - and as she points out to Emo Exile, she is clearly good at teaching him Korean, which makes her proud.
