phyrtrol forgot to turn in a drop-slip for a class and almost got kicked out of graduate school due to his academic probation status. Fortunately, as it turns out, you don't have to turn in the drop-slip by the deadline that OU posted, you just need to get it signed by the professor by that deadline. So, that's something you should look into, and avoid the F.

You can get a backdated withdrawal if you have the drop slip and it was signed. It involves a lot of paperwork, going back and getting the prof. to re-initial the slip, but it can be done. Basically just go talk to Academic Records and they will direct you on the run around.
