I keep hearing that, but no one seems to want to believe that there are other ways of handling email that are equally good and valid. I'm just a bit angry about the topic as it practically prompted a yelling fight earlier tonight...

I use Thunderbird with a host of email sorting filters set up. Seeing as how I have like 5 POP email addresses this sorts them all in an easy to handle format and clears out my spam reliably. I don't find a need for conversation threads as most long email conversations tend to be on different email lists or addresses entirely and thus are easily sorted apart by my filters.
