accidentally pressing down on R1 too fast because it was the most steady sign

I did that too, I didn't think it meant "shoot him in the face"!!! I was so shocked!

I didn't drink the poison, though. Was it really fake?

They really could have put a simple "gun" or something next to it. :/ And sometimes, the text is tiny and flickering which makes it nearly impossible to read.

It was. In my first play through, Ethan succeeded in all but the first of the trials, and 'cause I didn't understand how to change his destination at the end, he went to the wrong address -- after kicking the killer's ass with Jayden (I killed Madison XD), you could see Ethan and Shaun taking a look at a new flat together. The poison is faker than GLaDOS' cake.

I got this ending: Ethan got two out of five rewards, so he didn't get to the warehouse (I did the kamikaze thing and cut off my finger, but I refused to kill that guy or drink the poison - I got through the tunnel, but then I got electrocuted too many times, and Ethan just turned around and went for the door).

So when it was time I got Madison to call Norman instead of Ethan because he looked more useful to me in a fight, and then Madison had to fight Scott while Jayden was reviving Shaun. Thanks a lot for the help, G-Man. After saving Shaun, Norman went where Madison was, and I shot Scott without even giving him a chance to come closer. R1 for the win!

So in the end I got the ending with Ethan, Madison and Shaun living together, Jayden being the hero of the city (but I think his brain is kinda fried anyway, since he kept seeing things), and Scott being dead like he deserves!

I watched a couple of other endings on YouTube, some are so depressing I don't think I'll ever be able to obtain them, even if I want those trophies...

Killing Madison was more or less an accident. After seeing Ethan jumping from a rooftop without getting hurt too badly, I thought there'd be no other way out of the burning house and so I made her jump. Well, obviously she doesn't share Ethan's luck. :/

The first time, Scott nearly killed me because I saved him and yeah... the second time, I pushed him into the trash compactor. /cruel person 8|

Jayden definitely is quite sick. I've heard speculation that it's actually the ARI's fault he's in that bad condition. Seriously, when I first saw his eyes were bleeding during the last ARI session, I freaked. Creepiest part of the game for me, but maybe that's because blood plus eyes is one of my major squicks.

Madison as an author is pretty cool too. I wonder if maybe Victor (or what's his name; a faceless guy telling her she deserves a better challenge) will be the star of a possible sequel? Hmm.
