short update

My uncle passed away yesterday. He had a stroke some time ago and fell into a coma, recovered for a short while, and then had a relapse. He's in the States, so since my dad's side of the family can't go over there for the funeral on Monday on such short notice, my aunt requested that we have a memorial service for him here

nico emailed me about it...though i find it funny that the news travelled all the way to australia first and im actually geographically closer.

i emailed auntie day though and she said she's flying in from houston to LA for the funeral on monday.

though we didn't really know him very well, it is still surreal to know that a member of your family has passed on.
