doctor search

hi again.  when it rains it pours.

jason is looking for a fambly doctor.  he hasn't had a physical in 10 years!  anyone have a good one?  mine isn't accepting new patients.  (although that might change when we get married...i'll have to ask)

i can do a doc search on the phycitions site, but he wants a recomendation...

so i had that feeling like i should get that stuff together, even though jeff jokes because he thinks its nutz that i have my own medical file. No ammount of recordkeeping can diagnose/prepare/prevent stuff like a real family doctor. So, after the doctor at a walk in actually laughed at me the last time i brought my little blue file into his office.... i did it. I actually had some luck with the doctor search, and now, i'm in one of the family doctor groups at toronto western hospital. A recommendation is good, but some of the people i was recommended, i went to see and didn't really feel comfortable with.. so my recommendation is that he go and meet the doc in person and say "Hi, i'm looking for a family doctor.. this is my history. What are your available hours.... that works for me, that doesn't. Is all you have to say.. if they pick their nose or you just get the willies, say "that doesn't work for me, thanks for your time". Treat it like a pre-marriage date. I like the community care approach that the health system has

exactly thats what i figured (about just going to meet a doc) some people get different vibes! i like your file. i don't like people who laff at me.
