Work adventures...

Today at work there was a big thunderstorm. Nothing new in the summer, thunderstorms happen. I was teaching an introductory internet class that was going pretty well when BAM... power out. It went out at 1:05. It just got turned back on when I left work at 2:00. It was just odd. The library is actually kind of scary when it's all dark out and there ( Read more... )

So, I take now that there are no more cylon copies left at all? Whatever is left is left? That was my understanding but I just wanted to make sure.

I'm pretty sure. Now they are all mortal. Not sure if the special 5 could ever regenerate or not, though.

Ok good, that's what I thought happened but I was not 100% sure. And I still wonder, who is the final cylon? That's going to be hard to wait for.

Thank you, me too! There was actually quite a bit of damage within my county as a whole so I think I got off pretty lucky.

The storm yesterday was creepy. When I got home, I found that it had moved a 30 lb rock 5 feet in our yard.

It was very creepy! It moved in so quickly, did it's thing, and moved out. I actually think storms are creepier during the workday for some reason.

They tore down the paddle boat by the river in Winona.

You mean the paddle boat we used to go sit by and such, down by the movie theater?

Sad news indeed. Why'd they do that?

Yeppers. That's the one.

Well it really wasn't a historical marker anymore since the real one burned down in 81 and they had to re-build it. Biggest reason I think was it wasn't making any money. It was too run down to allow people inside of it and the city never wanted to pay the costs to fix it. There was a photo in the star tribune today. Poor Wilkie.

Well, while I understand their reasoning I guess, it's definitely sad. I liked that boat. thanks for letting me know. Sadly, one of our "historical" winona year markers is now gone too.

That's quite a long time to go without electricity to be honest. And I can imagine that it's odd, also because it's dark like everywhere. And then to also see something that looks pretty much like a tornado, that must've been a bit scary! But I'm glad to hear there was no damage and your pets are okay. I can so understand you worry about them at a time like this, I always have that to to be honest.

It's okay if sometimes you don't really comment back or comment, really, don't worry too much about it *hugs*
