The long and windy post

Wow. Can't believe it's Monday already. I feel like I've been in a whirlwind of activity since Thursday, the first day of the garage sale at my house (which yay, went surprisingly well ( Read more... )

Garage sale shoppers are crazy! We had a garage sale once and my husband sold my Nintendo 64 for 20 bucks! I was so pissed.

Anyways I hear you on the Da Vinci code. I am about 50 pages from finishing and I just keep hoping for it to get good and it really doesn't it is weighed down with typos, cliche and deux ex machina and I want someone to shoot Langdon. It's terrible and the editing is even worse. I can wait until the movie is on video before watching it.

My family solved the haggling-over-prices problem when we were moving out of our old house by just having a garage giveaway! My brother and I were appalled that we weren't even going to try to sell all that stuff, but I guess we were able to get rid of most of the things we didn't want to take with us when we moved. (And some of the things we didn't want to get rid of -- my dad was brutal when choosing what to toss.) :P

God, I'm so awful at badminton. I always hit the wrong end of the birdie with my racquet.

Ooh book signings, those are always fun. :)

And good luck with job hunting. I'm hopefully going to be working for a temp service this summer, hopefully in an office, so I can just get some work since I'll only be around a few weeks. But yeah, applying and resumes etc are never "fun." :)

Wow, you've been busy! I agree with you on the Da Vinci Code completely. It took me forever to get through this book and I have to re-read it again for my seminar :( The movie wasn't even that great...

Ooh that'll be cool to see Meg Cabot :) No authors ever come to my area either and if she came, I'd go. She's very funny and I like her other novels too besides her Meg Cabot ones.

Lucky, you get to meet Meg Cabot!

About the DaVinci Code, I totally understand what you mean. But if it has a good plot, yes, I'll like it, I find that sort of stuff really interesting, but it won't be something I obsess about. And I'm okay with that, I obsess about enough stuff already.
