From what I've understood North America gets an extra 10 minutes where Liz and mr. Darcy act as a couple in love, but that didn't sit well with the British audiences so they cut it out, making it a bit more Austen-like.
Ah! Ok, that makes sense. Thank you so much! I personally loved that scene so I'm glad it was added. Yes, perhaps it was a bit out of character, but it was a nice way to round out the movie I think.
I love snow! I'm jealous, I want a pretty snow fall too! lol
I've heard talk of one, but perhaps this is just lies/rumors? Did the UK get a different ending?? Yes there is an alternate ending, I'm not sure exactly what it is but the UK version of the film doesn't have teh scene with Lizzie and Mr Darcy being all lovy-dovy after being married.
I really liked the scene at the end so I'm glad it was put in. Thanks for the information. I wish I could get the UK version though anyway, lol. Different extras and all that fun stuff.
I am so jealous of the snow!! It's, like, 64 degrees here right now. :P I miss snow...
AndI reeeeeeeeeally want to see this movie!! My friend, lairewen, has it, so I will have to borrow it soon and watch it. And I heard that there was a different ending in the UK too, but I dunno where you can see it...And I don't know how it's different, because as I said, I haven't seen either. :P
But yey for Spring Break! We only get March 23rd and 24th off. Sniff. Oh well. :)
You tagged this with a krum! tag, but I see no mention of him; am I blind?
I really want to see the movie. Everyone seems to rave about it. Have you read the book though? I haven't, and I'm wondering if I should read it first (if I don't read it first, i will probably never read it... I tend to have to read the books first if I am going to read them at all, lol)
P&P is my favorite book. I've read it many times. :) I love it. I'm never sure what to tell people, whether to read the book first or watch the movie. I'd lean towards reading the book first just because it is so so great. Funny, romantic, serious, but this movie does a good job of picking out the most important scenes too and putting them on screen.
I really wanted to watch Pride and Prejudice when it was in theaters, but never did. I still want to see it so maybe I'll pick it up one day soon.
I wish it was snowing where I lived, but then again I'm on the verge of getting sick and snow wouldn't be fun if I just sat around blowing my nose all day. :P
When it was in theaters I was really hesitant to go see it, knowing how much I loved the A&E version. But I'd heard a lot of good things about it so I bought it regardless. I hope you get a chance to see it soon, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Yeah, snow and sickness aren't exactly the most fun things to occur at the same time.

You only get two days off for spring break? When does your school end for the year?

We're done on April 20th, so I guess I can't complain. :)
