Sparkly bubbles for Equality!

So, being a touch bored, I was wandering through various web sites, when I discovered something that a very small percentage of the people reading this are going to think is awesome. Note, summer_jackel especially needs to read this ( Read more... )

I like all those scents! Unfortunately, our bathtub is too tiny for us to really enjoy Lush. What a dilemma :(

One thing darch and I did many years ago when we were visiting his mother who has a large jacuzzi tub was bring a small bit of Lush with us. (Note, be very careful using any bubble product in any sort of tub or whatnot with jets, you can create a sitcom like scenario of bubbles everywhere if you are not careful.) So, one thing to consider is whether there's any likelihood of traveling any time soonish to somewhere with a nice tub. Since bubble bars and bath bombs (although call them bath salts or bath fizzies) are dry, you can travel with them. But otherwise... yeah, they are much less pointful and fun without a comfortable tub.

I'm still glad that they're contributing to marriage equality though. And I may end up really liking the scent. They used to have a lime-scented bubble bar I've been really missing. They don't carry enough lime products. Fruity marriage equality bubble bar with at least a somewhat lime scent. I can think of better things, but this is still pretty nifty.

Yeah, we don't really travel much, unfortunately - it usually ends up being to friends' or family's houses, and they're not generally big on tubs. May end up renting a hotel in town for a night to take advantage of facilities, haha.

Lush is easy for us to get to, though - do you want a delivery? :)

*smiles* Let me see how things work out. There may be some interest that ends up with me going to a Lush. The timing is slightly less than ideal, as I was actually in a Lush just recently. I had a friend from out of state visiting, and we ended up going to the Exploratorium, and then we stopped in at Lush afterward. But the only reason I can't always use more Lush is that my budget is not infinite. (I suppose I could eventually reach a saturation point, but it's never happened. Even when I have lots, I'm still rationing it out and could use it up faster if not for silly finite resources.)

I wish I knew how long this was sticking around for though. I may try to get some info on that. I'll think about it. It's too soon and too late at night to turn immediate coveting into plans for acquisition.

Yip wag boing!!! I _want_ one! Shame I just placed an order last week; I didn't see this on the website, or I would totally have gotten one.

Must try lovely sniffy equality bubbles.

Oh---I'll be in town for the weekend of the 4th. If things are not too terribly crowded and time for it happens, maybe we could do a Lush run?

Or... If you're okay with giving me your mailing address, I could stop by the one in my area this weekend (was already thinking of heading out this weekend to attend the Pride ceremony in my downtown area) and pick one (or several) up for you. :3 I would be more than happy to do it, especially for the cause of marriage equality. <333333 *Still very pissed at her state for passing a ballot measure that recognizes only heterosexual marriages, and that was 7 years ago*

Wow, people are nice. But it seems unnecessary to involve shipping. I'm trying to figure out how long they're going to be in the store for... although I got side-tracked by debating marriage equality with someone who had a particularly stupid argument (but a novel one) and was complaining that nobody would refute it. (Her argument was that we can't say rights are being violated because it's legal and so legally they are not. You'll note that by this argument we could not have said that the rights of slaves were being violated. However, it in no way states that it isn't wrong, and thus is kind of irrelevant and an odd semantic argument. I pointed out that she might feel differently if we made it legal to enslave and torture specifically her, which would then mean her rights were not violated, because it was ~legal~.)

Pfff... like that'd be any problem for me. <3 Besides, your birthday's coming up soon... >.> And I'm still strongly considering heading there this weekend to get a few of those, if nothing else but because the proceeds are for a cause I strongly believe in... AND they'd probably make a great gift for folks. :3 (I wouldn't use them myself because I'm not big on bath and beauty products.)

Wow... that is a pretty ridiculous argument right there. =/ Just because something's on the books as legal (like those silly laws that have persisted throughout a town's history, which no one bothered to repeal, like... um, no carrying ducks on your shoulders to the General Store or something equally asinine-sounding) doesn't mean that it makes sense or is fair to everyone. This is why the referendum process exists, so that the public can put in their effort to have those stupid laws changed. (Yes, it also gives them the chance to ADD stupid laws, but that's beside my point.)

Umm... okay, I guess. I guess it's okay for people to do nice things for me because they're friends with me. My contact info can be found at http://leora.livejournal.com/tag/contact the most recent such post is up to date, and you should have access to it. I just get confused when people try to be too nice.
