Last Cigarette Ever, Part Two
About thirty minutes later, Barney was startled out of a doze by someone gently kicking his foot. Opening his eyes to protest, he saw standing before him a red-eyed Ted, carefully cradling in his arms the tiniest, blue-wrapped bundle, with a gigantic shock of jet-black hair.

This is the BEST HIMYM fic I have ever read. It just really captures the two characters, and the long and important friendship they've had.

This story was so good! Seriously your Barney was spot on!! Robin&Ted were too but I don't know there's something about the way you write Barney that is really freaking special.
Also you totally had me crying at the 'who will remember me' part, that's just... really deep. And frankly, also very true..
Really I could go on writing my thoughts on this story, it's just a really special one with a meaning you know , your talented is all I'm saying basically (:

This is so beautiful, although I must say even thinking about cigarette smoke gives me a sore throat, so the image of Barney smoking that much in two hours.... yeech. :D

Anyway, your Barney/Robin dialogue is *perfection,* your Barney/Ted friendship is wonderful and cathartic, and the meta was irresistible Ted. This was wonderful.

This was really good it goes to show where Barney's mind is and what he thinks of himself. It was nice to see Ted and Barney have a nice conversation with a little humor which is not always shown on the show.

Barney & Robin's phone conversation was cute I just love how you wrote this whole story and naming Ted's son after Barney was a nice touch to an awesome story.

Beautifully in character. I loved when Ted realized that seeing all of them with children would be hard for Barney. I also liked the phone conversation at the end, especially how Barney realized Robin was crying but didn't say anything about it.
