Maria Ross knocked on the door around nine. Security details for the Elrics were hard-pressed to protect the siblings from the trouble that followed them. Without waiting for a response, the soldier opened the door and peeked in.
"Is everything all right?"
Alphonse somehow made it possible for armor to look nervous. "Aha, yes ma'am. Everything's all right!!"
"Then where is Edward? He needs his rest!"
"Nii-san is... He's in the bathroom! Yeah, the bathroom, haha... Nothing to worry about here!"
"Hmm. All right. Tell him good night for me!" With that she shut the door and went back to her patrol.
Alphonse sighed in relief. Then a rather small voice with a hint of echo came from within the hollow armor. "Damn, that was close... Al, hand me my pants, I'm done in here."
