I'm someone who's kept every piece of poetry I've ever written, as much as I've been able. And dated & timed most for posterity's sake. Shrug.
But now's the time to go through & toss my college notes and it occurs to me how much better posterity could see me if they're spared my class notes. : )
Sigh. I tend to think of writing as something that continues to live on on it's own. And sometimes I think about poems I've written, places I've been, and I wonder how they're doing now. I lost almost all of the poetry I wrote in my dorm or during college travel to a fried laptop. I hope they live on in their precious moments with a wisdom beyond their years & perhaps with clearer sight than their young author.
