It's Australia Day tomorrow, and I was going to celebrate it by sleeping in. But now I can't do that, because my dad has asked to meet up for breakfast with him and Sue. Still, it's not until 9.30, so okay, I can handle that.
Dad and SUE. She is the OTHER WOMAN. My Dad started seeing her before my parents got divorced, but I've never met her. I'm

Also, on the subject of your dad's GF, she's probably incredibly nervous to meet you, so don't judge her too harshly on first impressions. If she turns out to be a bitch on second impressions, then you may judge her harshly.
My Mum left my Dad in a similar way you've described, and the guy she left for was a dick. Luckily it didn't last, so I didn't have to play nice with him for long, but it was pretty annoying. You just have to suck it up and remind yourself you're an adult, and spiking his/her tea with tea with laxatives is just mean.

Yeah, I'm going to play it cool myself and just see what my first impressions of her are. She's been this shadowy figure in the background, you know? I realised that I should start being more mature about it. I want to know why my dad went with her. I think I've got issues with him as well that I need to sort out out. This is the first step.
Oh well, I was going to grow up sometime!

I'll let you know what happens, absolutely. Expect a call tomorrow. Otherwise, enjoy the day. I know you're going to the bbq thingy, but I don't think I'll be in the mood to be social, whatever happens. *points to number 7* I'll mooch on home after the breakfast and catch up on my reading. Maybe that night? We'll see how it goes.
We may have to catch up for a recovery DVD session or something...
You know me well, bb. *smishes you back*

I have to say, I'm on your BFF's side when it comes to your nail-eating habit! ;P
Australians count in degree Celcius? That's cool, I won't have to try to convert the temperatures to know how hot it is. BTW, what is a winter like in Perth? It's -15°C in Berlin at the moment, has been for at least one week now, and I just hate it so much. I can't wait to be in Australia.
I enjoy my own company so much, I have to be forced to socialise "for my own good".
AHAHAHAH You're blindsided by your own awesomeness, is that it?

I know, biting your nails is so uncouth! I'm normally really ladylike, but I fall down on a couple of things, I guess. *g*
Perth in winter? Pretty mild as winters go, from what I've heard. It rarely ever gets to zero degrees or below. Hail is the coldest I've seen. Lots of rain, but you can still get clear skies and the air being a bit nippy. I was born in winter, and I've been able to go out for a picnic on my birthday. It's pretty awesome. You're gonna love it.

That sounded so narcissistic, didn't it? *facepalm* I meant that, growing up, I found that being on my own was easier than trying to work around my hearing. So, to this day, I'm more comfortable reading a book or watching a movie than going to a party. The friends that have stuck around? Have been pretty stubborn about keeping in touch. Dreadful, I know.
