It's been years and I was even half hearted about watching the movie at all, and then all of a sudden when it was them on screen I was clutching my hand over my heart.
I came out of the movie liking Logan a lot more than I did in the show (not hard, as I hated the bones of him!!) but yes, Veronica and Weevil all the way!! (Bit annoyed he got so little screentime!)
I liked him more...and time and relative *maturity* has tempered my violent reactions to him. Even so, I feel like nothing about Veronica and Logan make sense. Even in his ten-minute introduction, she says that they came together over their grief over Lilly and not being able to cope. That is STILL what this is all about.
I wish the movie had done better so that a sequel would be guaranteed, because it looked like there could be some cool stuff for Weevil to do in a follow-up story.
Lots of stuff to do. I dug out the pilot afterwards, just to watch the very beginning, and I cannot get over how the pilot began and ended with Weevil, and how it seems so clear to me that they were RT's original intention.
Getting through that movie took everything I had in me. So many problems, SO MANY. But it was so nice to see Weevil again, to see him happy for a brief moment.
However, to your post, YES, a thousand times YES. I did a full rewatch and I am even more now convinced that the only way to fit in with the theme and narrative of the show is if Veronica and Weevil end up together. Logan makes ZERO sense in the whole "this story is all about class struggle"
Sorry I have been talking a lot about VM with friends so all these feelings are right on the surface.
