Thank you miss! It had somehow escaped me that you were an FNL fan. If I didn't already that you're super awesome, you would have just pushed me over the edge!

Aw, I'm glad you liked it! Yes, in my mind, Lyla does end up in New York. I imagine her working for an organization like Unicef.

This is so damn lovely. So many sweet, sad insights ... I love Lyla so much, and I think you pin so many things about how she sees the world just right.

Oh, this is beautiful! I love that Jason is the one who makes her take a chance on her dream and that she is still tied to Texas and Tim.

Some of my favorite parts:

“There’s no one like you, Jason,” she had said.

He smiled. “There’ll never be another Lyla Garrity.”

This is just a perfect exchange for them!

Every time she goes home to Dillon, she wrestles with herself and wonders if she should go to see him- and then she always does. He’s a part of this place, and he is the part of her that will always be here.

What a great description of Tim. He tried the whole "out-of Dillon" thing and that's just not who he is. I love that even though they've all gone on and done their own thing, they are still very much tied together, and always will be by their pasts.

I love it! :)

Oh thanks, miss. Yeah, I am fairly certain that my future for Lyla is in New York. Tim, I'm not quite sure. Sometimes I would like to think that his dreams merged with Tyra's down the line, but I hate to think that she might be second banana to Lyla, and also that she might be too big for Texas as well.
