You're going to watch GOT! *claps hands in glee* I'm very curious to hear what you think. Are you just going to watch? Or are you going to try the books too?

I'm going to break all the rules and watch the show first. (Was it on HBO? I can't find it OnDemand.) I get the feeling that I will like the element of surprise more on tv, and will like delving into the character's heads more in the books. (Are they very different ( ... )

Yes, it was on HBO. The first book and the first series lined up pretty well. It'll be interesting going forward to see how that changes. The biggest changes in series one were character ages, but that's not such a big thing.

I didn't! I need to get back to it.

It's okay to be that mommy, as long as you're not constantly screaming at them and you have fun with them when you can. I spent Friday through Sunday with my two nephews, ages seven and nine, and I have to be that way with them because their mother (my older sister) tends to let them run wild and my brother-in-law will just yell. I have all kinds of stories to make you feel better...like giving Dalton his first time-out at age four and how he acted like I traumatized him for life ( ... )

"Garrett James, do you want me to bust your butt in front of God and everyone?! Then act like you're five, not two."

Teehee!

I don't know you at all, but I HEAR YOU! I have an aunt who is the same age as me, and her three children are OUT. OF. CONTROL. due to non-existent or (at best) inconsistent rules and discipline at home. When they come to visit/be baby sat, it's a whole new world for them!

Hey there!

*I do love Izzie, and did and really still felt like I 'got' her right up through her leaving (the first time) in season 6. Her arc was totally dictated by KH, which I hated.
*I totally OTP her with Alex of course, but I did enjoy what Denny was to her, at the time.
*I did really like her friendship with Cristina.
*I don't know what the overwhelming opinion is on her? Maybe that I enjoyed Denny at all?
*I understand why Shonda doesn't do this, but I feel like the character we knew would have kept in touch, and that even if we didn't get to see it, we had references of her living her life offscreen. I wouldn't even mind if she stayed married to Alex, and we just never saw her (always on a different shift, etc.)
*I like to think that she came back to check on Alex after he was shot, but never told anyone.

*Tami is like a hero to me. I mean, I think she's been the best representation of Having It All. She has a fantastic career (even before season 5) but more importantly, she works hard and truly believes in what she does. It's not about money or Fashion Week or anything like that. She's an exceptional mother, and not because she never makes mistakes, but because she puts her kids first, always. She loves her husband deeply and truly but knows that it takes work to make a marriage last and never takes that for granted. She's gorgeous and kind and wonderful ( ... )

*I love Spencer. She's by far my favorite Liar. I love her intensity, her intelligence, her absolute inability to suffer any bullshit.
*Ship Spencer completely with Toby. (Where is Keegan Allen this season?) I did really like her with Alec too. I don't like Wren at all.
*My favorite Liar friendship is Spencer-Hanna. I do love the dynamics between all combinations of two girls, but these two for some reason just a little bit more than the rest. I remember there was one point in season 1, I forget why, but Spencer was stuck in a jam and needed someone to come pick her up and SOS'd to Hanna.
*I think disliking Wren is an unpopular opinion, I get the feeling.
*In my mind, Spencer sort of grows up as the Queen B/Mayor/Head of Every Civic Committee of Rosewood.
