Reading your commentaries on both Blue Valentine and Country Strong, I feel like movies these days are either an extreme in one direction - happy, ever after - or the other - divorced, no longer in love. There is no realistic medium.

I don't think that Tim McGraw believes that love can't exist in fame. Everything I've seen, hear, read with him and Faith are all about being in love, being a happy family with beautiful children. Not that they don't have hard times. Everyone does. But I don't think that just because he did that movie, he doesn't believe love can exist with fame.

And if you need a more realistic look at a marriage (although realizing it's still a tv show and fiction), look at Eric/Tami. To me, they show that their can be long lasting love and marriage. I could go into my views on society and marriage, but I won't. LOL.

Haha, you're right. He's an actor. He can play a role that isn't necessarily his life.
