Oooo, Lisa Kleypas. I've heard of her! What are some books that you would recommend? I need to do so reading this summer...preferably where everyone falls in love and things are tied up nicely with a bow, because life? Definitely doesn't happen that way. I want to escape reality for awhile.

Have you ever read any Julia Quinn or Eloisa James books? I love JQ, especially her Bridgerton series.

Oh, I adore her. Adore, adore, adore. Everyone seems to love the Bridgerton series, that is definitely going on my list for the summer. (It's probably not in bookstores any more, huh? I would have to 'amazon it'.) I've read two by Eloisa James, Kiss Me, Annabel and The Taming Of The Duke. EJ and LK are actually very good friends in real life, did you know that? They used to host a blog together.

As for recs, conveniently I just wrote up this list for dragonday just the other day:

I would suggest that you start with the Wallflower series. It's what empressearwig and lapiccolina started with, and they both seemed to love them (otherwise, they were being kind to me).

In order they are:

Secrets Of A Summer Night
It Happened One Autumn
The Devil In Winter
Scandal In The Spring

The Wallflower series bleeds into the Hathaway series (many characters make a return appearance), which is a bit richer, and more emotional. The Wallflower series has a bit more of a romcom feel.

Mine Til Midnight ( ... )
