Another Sunday Meme....

Mar 22, 2009 16:15

Because that's what Sundays are made of.

Also, I don't feel like cooking dinner tonight. Shall I splurge on take-out? (Ponders....)

It's a variation on the old sock meme (in your couples, who would pick up the socks?)

From christ_chexx_4u:

I've got a list of 46 of my favorite pairings. All you need to do is give me a number (1-46) and a mundane household ( Read more... )

Cameron & Molly (TNG) leobrat March 22 2009, 22:11:20 UTC
Sorry, darlin, I don't think you're familiar with these two....

Molly does all the laundry. She used to let Cam do his own, but as time wore on, and he went from her boyfriend to her husband, she realized she didn’t want to be married to a man who frayed his dry-clean only shirts in the wash. She has her own methods, and it’s more than just whites-with-whites and darks-with-darks. There’s gym wear, sleep wear, dress wear, work clothes, play clothes, not to mention Alex’s clothes need special detergents for the baby’s skin. What her family wears for clothing is a big job- and she’s not about to trust a man with it.

23 - Making the bed.

Alex & Izzie (Grey's) leobrat March 22 2009, 22:29:01 UTC
Alex has been a typical guy for as long as Izzie’s known him. He’s fastidiously clean, but always a total mess. They used to argue about making the bed- she said the sheets were so much more comfortable when they were tight and crisp (and cold!) and he would protest that it made no difference when you were just going to get in bed and mess it up again.

So, for as long as she’s known him, Izzie has made the bed (and his, when they’re sleeping in his room).

But since she’s gotten sick, he’s made sure that the pillows were always fluffed, and not only was the bed made (hospital corners have taken on a whole new meaning), the sheets are turned down when it’s time for her to get in.

But best of all, he’s there to hold her through the night.

Fun game! 17. Vacuuming

Steve & Miranda (Sex & The City) leobrat March 22 2009, 23:02:01 UTC
Miranda hadn’t really done a speck of housework since she’d hired Magda, but Magda’s getting on in her years now, and Miranda can’t really bring herself to hire someone else. Because the sweet (bossy) old lady was certainly more than just her housekeeper. She was family, she was Brady’s nagyanya, she was Mary’s friend and at many times, she was Miranda’s lifeline.

So, she and Steve gradually and as unobtrusively as possible took over various household duties. Steve taken over all of the laundry, which was considerable since Brady couldn’t find a puddle of mud that he didn’t want to jump in. Miranda had somehow drawn vacuuming, which had a surprisingly calming effect on her.

Sorry, I don't really know Sex & the City, but this is a cute story about love growing out. And I love the icon.

Can I even contain myself over the latest FNL? And that quote with jason and the baby in your icon(I do have that right, right?)--gah!

You do have it right! And seriously, that talk between Tami and Julie? Such a far cry from I Think We Should Have Sex!

You can request another if you'd like...it's kind of chancey, this couple's roullette!

Ok. I'll play. I'm going to choose 25 (since I turn 25 in a little less than a month!). Now, if it's a certain couple of the TNG universe, and you know who I'm talking about, is there anyway I can change my number?

LOL.

Mundane Household chore - folding towels (I loathe this activity, having to fold so many since my mommy is a hairstylist. lol)

Okay, you were three off! (Not going to say in which direction.) Now, I'm not sure if you're familiar with or like this couple either, so feel free to choose another if you'd like.

Despite having been brought up in the lap of luxury, with housekeepers and maids and servants, Jessie is quite the little domestic- as a mama to Jamie, as a cook (even his own mami can’t find fault), and really…she’s just perfect.

Antonio’s hours are odd at the station, but he tries to help out when he can. Folding laundry is nice and relaxing for him, especially when he gets home late and it’s time consuming for her, so it’s something he’s happy to help with.

This is cute. I am familiar with them, although I remember more of Christian and Jessica.

Ok. How about #2 - and peeling potatoes. (Maybe not a household chore, but it's a cooking one and a bit mundane!)

Do you want them or someone else?
