My brother Corey graduated tonight. It was a long ceremony with too many speeches. I really hate inspirational speeches. They're so cliché; however, Corey's best friend since kindergarten was the valedictorian and he gave the most amusing speech of the night

People I went to high school with are also having lots of babies and/or getting married. But I graduated in 2004. Scary...

Don't worry, no babies here. Just law school plans. I never see any Farmington people any more. Sigh.

It's good to know that not all Farmington grads are in a rush to have kids (or just unable to effectively use birth control).

For whatever reason, I never pictured you as a lawyer but I'm sure you'll be great at it. Congratulations on going to the University of Michigan's law school.

Yeah, there are only one or two Farmington people that I see on a regular basis. But when I'm staying at my parents' house, I generally have random encounters with people at Wal-Mart.

I tried thinking about people that I lost contact with that I really enjoyed being with and it was pretty difficult to think of anyone.

Is your brother's major going to be Comp-Sci?

Yep, Corey's majoring in Computer Science.

I helped him with the registration process a couple months ago and I had a lot of fun telling him what classes I thought he should take. Is it dorky of me to be more excited about him starting Truman in the fall than he is?
