Day 4: Your favourite female character.

Well, this is certainly hard, because as you all know Minekura's series don't have a lot of female characters and even then, they're not that greatly flashed out. So I'll go with:

Oooh, I hadn't thought of her, but you're right! With Kanzeon out of the running because se's intersexed, Pippi (as fandom's dubbed her) is the best choice. I'd been thinking of Professor Hwan myself.

That's one my (few) beefs with Minekura: she doesn't have many female characters in her manga, and when she does, they tend to be weak or shallow and not well-rounded.

I know about the name, but I don't use it. For me Pippi is read-haired full of freckles and really, really cheerful :D (complete opposite of the youkai girl :D) (and yeah I know that she's called that because of her hairstyle)
I was also thinking about Yaone, because I like her in some scenes, but she tends to be overshadowed by Dokugakuji :(

Yeah, Yaone gets short shrift sometimes, espcially because she threatens to kill herself when she's unable to poison the ikkou early on. She's more kickass in the anime.

She *is* a lot like Sanzo! You can see why Goku would be drawn to her XD

She was one of my top choices as well. She actually had a fairly decent motivation for her actions and her existence, which is a step up where Minekura is concerned. :D
