There is a way to get the music off the ipod directly, there's a hidden file with it. It'll all be renamed to random letters and such, but itunes can still read the tags on it so it'll appear properly in itunes, just not the actual names of the .mp3 etc files. If that makes sense...
Practically, its just a method to protect the copying of music which is why the ipod transfer thing is really lame :3. I have heard of 3rd party groups which do software which you can install that allows you to take the music off and read it properly without it being all scrambled like :3. You'd have to check it out though =p
I went onto Apple's website and apparently its a common problem that Apple has done nothing to rectify...
It said something about going onto the old computer, changing a couple of settings (something about changing the ipod into hard disc drive?) and then you can transfer the music across. The problem for me is that the old desktop is being fixed and scanned for viurses, and the techies may have to wipe its memory. If that's the case, I'll have to put everything back onto itunes manually.
Errr, FF12 was delayed a week apparently (if you didn't see em's lj)
The radiator problem is generally a really common thing. Its always best to check whether anything is leaking straight after a crash (especially as the cars internal fluids are extremely important XD). At least its getting paid for by someone else ne? =p
pr0n? what happened to it? >_> And what kinda laptop?? =p
Yeah, I read about the just after I updated. Curses! *shakes fist angrily*
Dad did have a look under the car after the accident. Either the fluid all leaked onto Canning Hwy while everyone had stopped to get each other's details, or my dad didn't see it when he checked. His eyesight's not the best anymore :P
All the pr0n is on my old desktop which died. It got a trojan, probably due to my brother when he was using the computer a few weeks ago. I also had Norton on that computer, which didn't help matters...
And my new computer is an Asus with the new duo core processor, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, wireless (which I still can't set up) RADEON X1700 256MG graphics card, 15.4" screen and a built in webcam. ^__________^ Thankfully it has Windows XP because Vista takes up 15GB of hard drive space...
basically you put it on your ipod and it's a third party software that will copy songs from your ipod to your comp with NICE NAMES that you can understand =D
I had similar problems when trying to get music onto my laptop as well lol
Wow webcam O_o
I dunno when I will get Vista. Most likely when someone haxxors it for me =D
