Turns winter spring and fall
→ One of the few things I enjoyed about this season's finale was the open ended possibility that Dan's hypothesis may have been right - that setting off the bomb erased everything that had happened, their plane never crashed and none of them ever met! You would lose all the character development that has happened over the course of the show but now you have the opportunity for them to meet a whole bunch of other different ways. Any AU could possibly not be that AU! So I wanted to play off that idea. Originally I wanted to do some kind of Eternal Sunshine Of the Spotless Mind-ish thing, where Jack sees all his memories of Claire disappear one by one. But that didn't really work. So I went a different route and used the idea that setting off the bomb worked - just not exactly according to plan and they sort of get caught in a loop. Each time they crash Jack and Claire are drawn to each other but each time he ends up loosing her and that leads him to blow up the bomb. Which I guess is why the vid might feel a little unfinished at the end. Is it all just going to start over again? Will things end up differently next time? Who knows! ;)
