Wonderful! I loved seeing the repercussions of the hunt, and how Sam's scars have affected his confidence. You painted Jess so perfectly, fleshing her out a bit more, and I loved how caring, patient and considerate she was.

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked my attempt at writing Jess, we don't know much about her so it was fun to play around and make her into her own character.

Aww, I have such an enormous soft spot for Jess! Love that first moment where they both prefer their nicknames, and that Sam's scars were such a huge issue for him to even get to the point where he felt he could show her! A lot of fics just gloss that over and I think Sam at this time when he was so conscious of wanting to fit in and be normal, he would've been really trepidatious about letting Jess see any sign that he wasn't.

Glad to see the hugs and continuing intimacy at the end, though! 😜

Thank you! I love Jess a lot too. I'm still sad that she and Sam will never get to be together. Maybe in heaven one day they can reunite?
