Vale Leni Jess
We are very sad to report that Leni Jess passed away suddenly on the afternoon of Thursday 24 May 2012. Leni had a mild heart attack a few days earlier, although she thought it was a different issue. After her doctor received test results, Leni was told to go to hospital. The next day, Leni had a relatively routine procedure, but she died about an hour afterwards due to complications.
Leni had just returned from a trip to England, where she met a number of her friends and enjoyed that and her normal touring activities (apart from a cold). Leni always had great enjoyment from her writing and LJ etc activities, and the interaction with friends and acquaintances she made online and at conferences.
We will be writing to some of her friends shortly, but we would appreciate your passing on the news to other forums. Leni had signed up for a couple of exchanges, we believe, and we will try to track them down.
