I think I've read on the forums somewhere that the general catch rate for wild releases is around 1 in 10, which I think is about right for my wild releases. I don't wild release that much either, most of my books are in English and whereas a lot of people in this country speak English, I think there are not that many that read English books on a regular basis so I have to put some thought into where I leave my books. I usually end up leaving them on the train to work as we pass a town where I know a lot of international companies are situated with non-Dutch employees. :D
Anyway, it's hard to get a wild release caught but when it finally happens, it's really worth it, it's a great feeling! And sometimes it happens a looooong time after you have released the book (one of my books was journalled two years after a friend of mine had released it!), so don't despair. It could still happen. :D
