First broken bone~

Feb 20, 2009 08:52

Snapped the end off my elbow on the 6th of February, and they wouldn't fix it while I was in Germany - I've had plenty of time since then to self-diagnose once all the swelling and ddisfigurement went away, since yesterday (the 19th) was the first day I'd had a proper diagnosis by, oh, doctors with neat machines.

My X-Rays! )

Crazy. I've had the exact same thing happen.
They tried to remove the chip of bone in surgery but he said he "Could see it on the x-ray, but just can't find it!"
Lol, pointless surgery....

It certainly stays with you, but it's not horrible. For me, it's gotten better over the years, and the bones don't dislocate themselves anymore. You'll notice weakness on that side, and rely way more on your right arm but aside from that not much has changed for me...

I hope your surgery goes well!!!

Ugh that sucks that you couldn't get it properly looked at when it happened. D: Does that mean you're stateside now? I hope everything goes well with surgery and that you won't have to keep your arm immobilized for too long. PT is a pain in the butt.
