A work related rant, mostly, but it comes up in RL enough that I feel that it must be said, lest I explode as a result of compressed rage

I totally agree with you!! I hate how some parents believe that if their kid (usually boys) do bad in school and roughhouse a lot, they have ADHD. I mean my brother was diagnosed with ADHD (back when there was still an ADD-diagnosis) and it was because he couldn't focus, couldn't sit still, way too active (at least as the doctors saw it, my mom actually has just wanted help so that he could focus better in school). So they pumped him full of drugs that turned him into a zombie for five months...but that gets into the whole 'easy way' debate.
The funny thing is there are people who think "Well I know the symptoms because my mother/brother/father/sister/aunt/uncle/ex-boyfriend's sister's friend had it so I can tell." But really, recognizing the symptoms means that you'll just be able to give a doctor more information. You should definitely go see a doctor. If you don't want to go to a professional then deal with it because for most conditions, only a doctor/counselor/psychologist is going to be able to help you out.
I'm listening and you've some very good advices there. Instead of beating off ourselves by assuming the worst, we should contact the professionals and let them do their work.
I'm not always smart and done it. I'd been beating myself over my not-so-regularly monthly visitors before a friend of mine had been none the wiser by suggesting to accompany me to see a gynecologist. I can only say that the visit had been therapeutic and eye-opening. I don't know how much I don't know about my own body.
