Title: The Right to Love

Spoilers: Takes place after ep 101 (8x09) after Pepa and Silvia have become engaged. This is a sequel to my previous PepSi fanfic, In Love’s Defense. My fic follows LHDP up to ep 101 but departs from the show at that point - ep 104 never has and never will exist in this version of Pepa and Silvia’s world.

Hee! I've had this cliffy in my head forever! Was so great to finally get it out on the page! For once the words just flowed - it'd been frakking forever since that happened!

Yes, Pepa's got reflexes like Speedy Gonzales when it comes to saving her gal! :D

I just found out about this show/pairing 5 days ago, and after 5 days of obsessively watching clips, I have moved on to fic.

I'm really enjoying this story- you catch the essence of the characters. I can't wait to read more!

Hola xanadugrrl! Isn't PepSi great? I watched all the clips for two days straight with hardly any sleep the first time I discovered them! :D I love that new fans still find this lovely pairing even a few years after the show has gone off the air.

More awesomeness, so soon??!?!?!!? Keep up the great work, chica! Now I remember that Mr. Sneaky Morales got away before! Ah ah ah ah ah!!! Nice with the continuity, there. (But is he superhuman? Nawwww, surely not!) It's all good: we get to see more badassnesses from our mujeres.

Also: nice bit of sexy time. I recently went back to re-read their earlier sexy time in this piece, just to make myself feel better on a tough evening. :)

Ack! Late reply! As I've mentioned, I just finished this part recently, but I had the whole Silvia/pepa conversation done months ago.

The Morales cliffhanger went through a lot of changes. At first I was just going to have Silvia wake up and get better, end of story. But I wanted another conflict to keep it going - I thought of another politican getting attacked and Silvia somehow figuring out who was the target - but it just didn't hold water. Then I thought that this organization wasn't just made of anti-gay politicians, it was made of crazed zealots who would still want to come back after Silvia to finish the job, since their goal would be to erradicate all gays, period. I felt it was a better choice. But saidly, I know mentalities and crazies like this still exist in RL - scary!! Anyway, I was happy with the way I finally figured it out! Now I just have to keep writing it! ;p

Lol - I'm the last writer you want to get obsessive over! Surely there are better ones out there!

Will try to work as fast as I can on that next chapter. I get the feeling a lot of it will be spontaneous and unexpected since I don't have any notes for it.
