That might be true. I've always had guy friends but often one of us developed feelings for the other one and it wasn't always that easy as it is with Gabriel.
That's so sad about the horses. Recently most people around here even take some nominal sum for their kittens. There are too many kittens and it's so easy to get one for free, but I guess it's good to request a little fee, which rules out the most dubios interested people.
And I've never understood how anyone can not have a heart for all those poor animals who need help. They are always so beautiful creatures who have suffered enough!
When I was younger I didn't like to be alone for a long time. At first I was looking forward to it, but after a few hours I always got lonely and didn't do any of the things I planned to do. This changed when I had Ben. I am so busy now, never able to rest, always entertaining, chasing, feeding a child and since then I am really able to enjoy some time alone. Of course I am in some way lonely and I am full of joy when my son comes back, but I learned to really use this time for me, because who knows when the next opportunity will come around?
My life has such an opposite routine to that... I'm alone prettymuch all the time unless I make an effort on my days off to see people. I work graveyards, so alone, and I live alone (except for my giant cat). I've spent so long avoiding being alone that now I'm really facing it and it's bumpy to put it mildly
I walked past an RSPCA charity shop today and in their window was a bunch of photos of their animals looking for new homes and I swear they're trained to look as sad as they can, I just wanted to take them all home, cats, dogs, rats, chinchillas, all of them! I guess what I dislike most is people not taking their responsibilities as pet owners seriously, I mean if you can't afford to get a cat neutered or whatever, don't have the cat... unless of course you're prepared for the litters of kittens... Kittens that more often than not get abandoned in boxes like I read in my local newspaper recently. Off my soapbox now lol!!
These people make me so angry, too! Animals aren't toys which can be thrown away when they get boring. Some pets get really old and it is just cruel to give them away just because you're too lazy to care for them anymore. I once had neighbours who were so cold and heartless when it came to their pets, that affected my view on these things forever.
you read those things and you just want to adopt them all, I think I would do this if I ever won the lottery I would just have an animal sanctury where they could live in a massive home without fear of anything.
Aww, that's so kind of you! I'm glad most of my friends are animal lovers. I can understand that someone isn't as crazy about pets as I am, but I will never understand how anyone can tortute these innocent creatures!

I still find being alone a very odd sensation.
