I always laugh when I think about Gwen Stefani. Her father is my old boss, and when she and No Doubt were struggling to make it they tried (unsuccessfully) to land a gig playing at our company XMAS party. I've met her a few times... very cool.

It was one of those things that at the time - you didn't realize. I was like... Dennis's daughter is kind of cute but what's with the stupid band and funny clothes...". Later (after Tragic Kingdom) we were like, "So Dennis, when is your daughter coming by the office again?".

He had some platinum records hanging in his office. Those were pretty cool.
