I'm two episodes from the end of Dollhouse, which surprised me a lot.  I'm not actually attached to any of the characters, which I can't recall happening in...well, anything, ever.  But the scenario is fucking fantastic, and the roles, rather than the characters, are intriguing.  Maybe it's because the majority of characters are either too fluid ( ( Read more... )

Holy shit did I have html fail in my old comment. I think it's fixed now...

I like Dominic too, even before the whole badass mind-warrior thing he did at the end. I want to know what happened to all the dolls in the attic in the Epitaph timeline, b/c killing him off would be a damn shame.

I would say overall that Alpha is my favorite character, but until the second half of Epitaph he's impossible to actually like except in the conceptual sense, which is kind of how I feel about the whole show. Everything is so well done, but actually liking any of the characters as people is extremely difficult. Part of its charm, I guess. I suppose I sympathize most with DeWitt, because she knows exactly what she's done the whole time she's doing it, and still doesn't back down. I can respect that.

Also, call me. I know you have a show and the parents are visiting, but I haven't talked to anyone but Justin since we went to the movies a few weeks ago and I'm bored.

I agree with you about Boyd. I spent the whole last episode that wasn't Epitaph going "huh?" and being too distracted by the sudden unexpected plot twist of doom to appreciate anything else. It's pretty bad that it was more confusing than the Epitaph arc altogether.

I have some of the same moral issues with liking Topher's character that I have with liking Alpha, but I agree--the acting was fucking superb.

Only thing Justin and I are doing on V day is homework, by mutual agreement.
