Have you heard that the new ST XII will premiere May 29th, 2012 (before the world ends *g*)? They haven't announced a director or if the cast will be the same but they have a premiere date *sigh*

From what I've heard, most of the cast seem pretty committed to the sequel - some of them are on 3-film contracts, I believe. The XI writers have been telling us they've been busy thinking up ideas for the sequel. I only hope they don't do the Khan thing again. It's a rumour, I know, but I'd rather see something new.

I'd rather see something new. Oh yes! I remember how disappointed I was when the first episode of TNG after the pilot was "The Naked Now" which was basically a remake of "The Naked Time". Let's boldly go somewhere Trek has never been before. Of course if it's 3 years between movies pretty soon the new young cast will be the same age as the original cast in the '60s. Will the next movie occur right after the reboot or will there be a gap of a few years. Movie series are not the same as TV series.
